Motivational Presentations

Half_Way_06Successfully completing our thru-hike of the 2,175-mile long Appalachian Tail, on September 25, 2006, was an exciting and life-changing experience; an adventure that has had a profound impact on how we view the world around us and that has offered us new insight and direction into how we approach life. Our desire is to share these insights and that inspiration with others.

We have developed several motivational presentations that are tailored for churches, businesses, industry and civic organizations as well as clubs and outdoor activities related organizations. We can provide talks specific to the Appalachian Trail or other trails in the Maryland and Virginia areas, as we also participate in the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) “Trail Talkers” program. In this context, talks are suitable for State and National Parks, scout troops, and local organizations and include information about the Appalachian Trail as well as other trails in the Mid-Atlantic area.

If you are interested in having us speak at your church, conference, club or meeting, simply Contact us and send us a request for more information. Special offers are available for non-profit organizations.

RMGH_With_Solemates If you would like to attend one of our upcoming presentations, look for them on our Calendar and Contact us for more details.

Educate, Entertain & Inspire

“Randy Motz and Georgia Harris recently spoke at our weekly Rotary Club meeting.  They are a dynamic duo who captured the attention of the audience and held it until the end of the presentation.  It was an inspiring talk, giving each of us the impression that we could plan, and live out, the adventure they shared together.  This was one of the best programs we have had all year.”  Arnold Lerman

“We recently hosted Randy Motz and Georgia Harris’s “Spiritual Reflections from the Appalachian Trail” seminar at our church to coincide with a sermon series we were giving about the “Lost Spiritual Disciplines” of our Christian faith…It was a timely message…powerful biblical insights gleaned from their 2,175-mile backpacking journey along the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. Joe Horrell -  Senior Pastor, Brookhill Wesleyan Church, Forest, VA

“Randy Motz and Georgia Harris (affectionately known as Windtalker and Mom) have presented their “Appalachian Trail Reflections” multimedia program at Greenbrier State Park four times. This program is exceptional…our campers love to attend it.  Randy and Georgia’s program enlightens our campers on the A.T. experience and encourages them to get out and hike, even if it is just for a mile…program is always well received and attracts a crowd. I highly recommend their presentation to any venue.”  Ranger Tammy McCorkle - Assistant Park Manager
